Within 45 minutes’ drive of Esperance by sealed road, this grand park features sweeping heathlands, rugged coastal peaks and white sandy beaches voted the best in Australia. Roads to all recreation sites in the park are also sealed except for the spur road to Rossiter Bay, which is graded for two-wheel-drive. Most spectacular coastal scenery is found in the south-west corner of Cape Le Grand National Park where massive granite and gneiss peaks rise from the coastal plain. The park's rolling heathlands are home to pygmy possums, western grey kangaroos and a diversity of colourful wildflowers including dense thickets of showy banksia.
Lucky Bay campground features a camp kitchen with a gas barbeque and burners, hot and cold running water (untreated) and a dishwashing sink. There are hot and cold water showers.
Cape Le Grand campground features a camp kitchen with a gas barbeque and burners, hot and cold running water (untreated) and a dishwashing sink. There are showers with solar water heating. There are 15 individual camp sites that can accommodate tents and regular size campervans, camper trailers and caravans.
Campsites are not bookable and operate on a first come first served basis. Rates are: adult $10, concession $6.60 and child (6-15yrs) $2.20 per night.
A park entry fee of $12 ($6 concession) per vehicle applies at many of the popular national parks in WA including Cape Le Grand National Park. Many visitors appreciate the savings and convenience of purchasing either a four week Holiday Pass or Annual All Parks Pass online at Shop.dpaw.wa.gov.au/ before their trip.

Enjoy a picnic in a sheltered nook overlooking the beach at Hellfire Bay or Lucky Bay, or explore the whistling rocks at Thistle Cove.
Stroll along wide beaches where the sand squeaks underfoot or enjoy swimming, surfing, fishing, or recreational boating in the park’s picture-perfect bays.
Boats may be launched with caution from Lucky Bay and Cape Le Grand Beach.
Dunn Rocks on the eastern side of the park is also a picturesque and popular fishing spot.
Explore the park’s wild reaches on the Le Grand Coastal Trail, which links many of the park’s most spectacular coastal sections between Cape Le Grand Beach and Rossiter Bay. A hike up Frenchman Peak (262m) will be rewarded with panoramic views of the park and islands in the Recherche Archipelago.
