The whale shark is the world's largest fish, with some growing up to 18 metres in length! This unique festival celebrates the annual visitation of the Whale Shark to Ningaloo Reef located on the Coral Coast of Western Australia. The festival is an all ages event and brings together businesses, government and community to honour the spectacular beast of the sea.
The annual festival has taken place since 2002, with its growth in popularity extending the festival from a one day to three day affair. The festivals includes a family day in the park on Saturday and the Town Beach Family Evening on the Sunday providing market stalls, food stalls, live music and entertainment for the whole family.
