Gunbower Island State Forest is a wetland of significance and provides visitors with the chance to see over 260 species of bird life. While the Echuca Regional Park is a sprawling riverside parkland and visitors can fish, swim and boat at the popular Christies Beach. Children will love Kyabram Fauna Park, the second largest collection of native Australian animals in Victoria, or head to Billabong Ranch for horse trail rides around Echuca.

In June the Steam Rally Echuca takes over celebrating all sorts of vintage steam machinery and transport.
