The Winners of Australia's Favourite Parks

Australia ’s Favourite Parks The Winners

The Australia’s Favourite Parks award winners are all places you will want to return to, time and time again.

WORDS David Gilchrist

There are many things that can make a park stand apart from the crowd; it’s that perfect combination of atmosphere, location, space and hospitality that come together to make a park truly exceptional.

With this in mind, the nation’s leading destination for holiday park visitors, Turu, has completed a nationwide survey of holidaymakers to identify the top holiday parks for 2015. The ‘Australia’s Favourite Parks Awards’ recognise parks that give travellers the best holiday park experience, keeping visitors returning time and again.

Turu, a search engine for caravan and camping holidays, has more than three million visitors exploring over 1800 holiday parks from around Australia.

Turu general manager Rob Gallagher says the popularity of parks was continuing to grow as more and more people were experiencing caravan and camping.

“There was a perception that they (parks) were not at the standard of other holiday accommodation,” Gallagher says. “The industry has done an amazing job of repositioning itself so they really are a fantastic destination for families and travellers.”

Winners are awarded across each state and territory around the country. The seven state winners of the Turu Australia’s Favourite Parks Awards strive to put in the hard work needed to make their guests feel at home. In our park profiles below we discover what it takes to be a Turu winner.
