How Australia’s Favourite Holiday Park works:

Australia’s favourite park is all about identifying which parks around the country are the most popular with consumers. To be eligible to enter Australia’s Favourite Holiday Park, your park must be listed on before 31/1/14. From all the parks listed, 10 parks from each category will be shortlisted based on a points system derived from consumer interactions on the site – click here for more information on the points system.

At the end of January, the ten parks with the most points in each state will be pitted against one another in a popular vote to see who is the favourite park in each state. The park with the most votes in each state will be crowned the state winner and the park with the most overall votes will be crowned Australia’s Favourite Holiday Park for 2014! How to increase chances of being shortlisted:

The following tips will help to increase your visibility for consumers on but also help score valuable points to get onto the shortlist of state finalists.

Five quick ways to improve your chances:

  1. Get your park reviewed on by asking consumers to review your park on after their stay. Ask us how to set up online reviews on your site.
  2. Make sure your Park listing on is up to date and accurate. Login and update your park listing including park features, accommodation info and local attractions/events
  3. Upload images of your park (If you need new professional photos done contact us)
  4. Connect your online booking system to and make sure your inventory is up to date
  5. Make sure your partnership package is up to date. Speak to your State Manager if you need more information.

The Australia's Favourite Holiday Park point system:

Any of the below activities between August 1, 2013 - January 31, 2014 will help you to score more points.

  • Reviews on turu: Score ten points for each rating point (eg. If you get a park review with four rating points out of five you will get 40 points).
  • Bookings on turu: Score 150 points per online booking.
  • Phone and email enquiries: Score 20 points per phone or email enquiry.
  • Turu park package: 100 points bonus.
