The most popular events to be held in Albury include the Albury Gold Cup, which takes place in late March and the Beatles Festival, held every February to March, if music is what tantalises your travel tastebuds.  Another draw card for tourists is the various gallery exhibitions held at the Albury Regional Art Gallery, housing permanent collections by Sir Russell Drysdale, the famous Australian artist, who was local to the region.

As with any township located near to a body of water, sports that can accommodate this are often the top attraction and draw card to bringing people to the area. With boating, fishing, water skiing all covered in Albury. A novelty attraction is the popular Community Wood Fired Oven, which is lit every second weekend and is available for visitors to bake their own appetising pizzas, roasts, pies or cakes.
