The new owners Linda and her Boss Heh Heh are rebuilding after the fires went through and damaged a lot of cabins and bush surrounding the park myself and my other half Boss who loves painting have travelled twice in the holidays to spend nice quiet time in beautiful and regrowing bushland We would recommend it to anyone wanting to spend time away with or without family The hard work that the new owners are putting in is paying of as a lot of the burnt bush and huts have been cleaned up toilets and cabins are being kept clean daily i counted at least 5 times in 4 hours a worker passed our camping spot in a vehicle while inspecting grounds and checking bins We will be returning every two to three weeks for one or two night stays as it is only 1 hour drive away we have found our home away from home where the Boss can do her painting and i can sit and have a drink without her clipping me around the ear. i recommend it to anyone who wants a break . Thank you Linda and family for making us welcome.Noel and Sandy

Waroona Dam camping, was quite disappointed with the dam camping site lots of glass around site rubbish everywhere (burnt chairs on fire places plastic bottles everywhere and general rubbish Toilet was very smelly whirlie bird on top was not working. Rather large thistles around close to camping area that kids where running into. I just think a general daily clean up would help heaps we stayed 3 days and only seen once a truck collect the burnt chair nothing else and once a guy pull up in a truck walk into the toilet area with a small cloth and walk out less than a minute later, hardly time to wipe the seat. The reception staff where we paid to stay at site where very nice. Great area but just requires more time spent daily on cleaning the site.

The location is perfect being about an hour from Perth idel for the Friday night getaway to have two full days away from home and the things you do in preference to picking up the book you got for Xmas or spending some time outdoors. The park has a number of different animals that are use to humans that will come to visit even if you do not water ski (or swimming in Lake Navarino there is great swimming and paddling at the recently upgraded Drakesbrook Weir which is a short drive away. If neither option suits there is a heated swimming pool golf course and all sorts of other facilities (and Bakeries) in Waroona township. Brad & Rina cater to all budgets offering from unpowered camping sites through to park cabins. Those in tents will appreciate the campers kitchen or a group going for a short visit will love the hug Heatley BBQ Brad has installed. Truly a hidden treasure and worth a visit.
