Kununurra is a picturesque landscape of stark contrast - tropical vegetation meeting red rock gorges, and deep blue waterways against the rusty pindan soil.

Lake Kununurra, bordering the township of Kununurra provides a playground for water-sports including canoeing, swimming, water skiing and fishing.

As well as being a relaxing oasis in the outback, Kununurra is also an ideal destination for anyone wanting to explore the East Kimberley region.

Ivanhoe Village Caravan Resort provides a range of accommodation from camping, standard and deluxe cabins. Our customers are our greatest advertisement. Once you've experienced the Ivanhoe Village Caravan Resort lifestyle we're sure you'll be back to see us again, just like our other regulars.

Reading comments above we are concerned. Our van is overall 30ft. (trailer length) Would it fit in your site? We have a cat (kept in van) is that a problem? No phone number for us to contact you!
Response from Ivanhoe Village Caravan Resort
At Ivanhoe we have a great selection of large sites and can accommodate vans/ big rigs up to about 60 foot, but I would suggest you call ahead particularly from the beginning of June to the end of July.

Sites far too small. We have a small van and with the annex deployed we could not park our car near our site. We were opposite the amenities and could not back to our caravan to leave until the person on the next site left. The only reason we were able to get into our site was because the site behind was empty and we were able to drive through. Amenities clean, but two out of three nights there was no toilet paper in the cubicle I used and no soap. When the soap was replenished the next day it spurted everywhere. More toilet paper in each cubicle please. The night lights are very intrusive. I was very impressed with being able and encouraged to wash my car and caravan on site, this is a real selling point for your park. However you have to be extremely careful that you don't spray the neighbouring van! I am in two minds as to whether I would stay here again, I would need to inspect the site personally before agreeing an opportunity I was not offered this time.

Sites are too small for modern caravans. We had a camper trailer and could not deploy the awning if we wanted to park our car. The ablutions are clean and reasonably modern BUT the ladies runs out of hand soap and toilet paper daily and in the gents the showers and toilets slope so much that you get your neighbour's water into your cubicle. The lights in the ablutions are on a timer switch and always run out before you have completed your business. The combination of very small sites and the one way system of narrow roads means you can be trapped for a long time by people trying to couple to uncouple their vans. These faults detract from what would otherwise be a good park. Despite the fact that they encourage car and van washing on site, and the staff are helpful and friendly, these faults mean I would never stay there again.

I spent nearly two weeks at the park and found everything associated with the park to be excellent. Admittedly my time there was shoulder season but at check-in I was taken around to choose my site which was difficult because all sites were grass and any of those vacant would have been terrific. The staff were very helpful with their assistance. All the amenities were clean. Although some distance from the town centre the location was quiet and provided easy access for driving to the many attractions in the region.

One of the best caravan parks we have stayed in whilst touring the Kimberley recently. Staff bent over backwards to make your stay enjoyable. Facilities amenities & pool was outstanding with plenty of green grass & shade. The kids still talk about it today!! Was extremely impressed & will return :)
