Miners Pick Caravan Park is located in the historic town of Rushworth, located in Central Victoria Region.
Today, all the large mines have long since closed, although this has not deterred the intrepid prospectors and the number of tourist wanting to try their hand at panning for gold. There are a number of maps available for purchase at the local Rushworth Museum.
popular activity in the region include bush walking with the Rushworth State Forest, the largest ironbark forest in the Southern Hemisphere, just south of the town. The region is also a wildlife delight, especially for bird watching, with over 100 species having been identified in the area.
If it is aquatic activities you are after, there is plenty of opportunities with fishing, boating and water sports at the Waranga Basin, north-east of the town.
