This park is in need of a lot of TLC. The facilities are virtully non existant. The camp kitchen (no sink or fridge) consists of 3 tabels & 2 burntout BBQs and is so filthy, I whould,nt put my dog in it. The Showers ? & Toilets where cleaned twice in 5 days, thats no exageration as we where camped oppersite If this park is council owned, it is a discrace for such a well none tourist destination.
Very old overcrowded park adjacent to the local football club fields. All ammenities are old and poor but are kept reasonably clean. Travelling people have to go right down the back for a poor barely grassed site with damp ground due to location. The river which is featured is Moore like a backwater swamp with a stale mud smell. We are pensioners and were charged $32 per night. We had booked for 3 nights and left after 2. The star rating system as listed in the Vic van park directory listed this placeat 3stars but according to. Their criteria it should be a half star.
The Recreation Reserve is one of the older parks though some of the amenities are older they are kept very clean and the staff most welcoming. I fear the number of camp sites around the reserve would tend to put a strain on the facilities over the peak seasons. we found having an ensuite van a definate plus even off peak.
Too many very old , on site vans . Sites are not very big . Amenity blocks not cleaned properly or often enough . A disappointing stay
