This is a 48 stopover that is central to fishing areas such as the Craig Bourne Dam which is perfect for trout fishing. Kempton is one of the oldest private conservation areas in Tasmania. The sanctuary bequeathed to the local council by Anton Chauncey in 1988. 10mins from the Chauncy Vale Wildlife Sanctuary which provides beautiful bush walks. Visited by bird watchers, sealed naturalist groups, school groups & families. Can cater up to 30 vans. There are 6 powered sites that are free to use. A little donation will be appreciated. Showers are available however there is a fee of $10 per van.
