Mt Ive Station situated in the Gawler Ranges, bounded in the north by Lake Gairdner. The white salt bed nestled into red sand and rock Ranges offers a 'wow' experience like nowhere else. Self drive tracks to diverse locations with shearers quarters accom, camping,liquor shop, fuel and pet friendly.
Accommodation varies at Mt Ive from our Stone Rooms (made up with sheets, quilts etc) and Shearers Quarters which are located next to the Communal Kitchen, Dining/Recreation room and BBQ area and our camping areas which has powered and unpowered sites with Gazebo for shade and shelter (firewood available in season).
A basic kiosk and Liquor Store are also located at Mt Ive supplying fuel, liquor and drinks and other small items. EFTPOS is available.
However we do ask that you please bring your own food to Mt Ive or organise to have food supplied ahead of time which can be done by contacting our staff at least a week before arrival.
The Kitchens has all the facilities for you to prepare your own meals and the Recreation room is a great place to relax and play some table tennis, darts or board games.
A BBQ area is also available to you and is a perfect way to eat outdoors at night when the weather is good.
This will be a true out back experience.

There are many things to see and do at Mt Ive Station. With buildings full of history, scenic sights and 4x4 tracks, there will be lots to keep you busy during your stay.
Historic Landmarks, buildings, fences and equipment remain on the station and can be spotted as you drive some of the interesting private station tracks or walk around the outbuildings of the homestead. The Flight Path offers a great trip around the station with secluded rest areas and lookouts and takes in some of the great flora and fauna that exists here.
The Embankment, Cath's Castles and Peter's Pillars are some of the great sights for you to see. Showing off some of the great examples of exposed rhyolite found in the Gawler Ranges and the hard work put in by the men of old to collect a valuable supply of water.
Private access to the edge of the stunning Lake Gairdner is available called by some as the jewel in the crown of South Australia's scenic sights.
