Where did 4.3 for service come from? More like 5 out of 5. And yes, the gum trees are gorgeous.

We stayed 2 nights in our van, on our way to Port Augusta. Caravan park is ideal for couples. Not much in the way of amusement for kids but they can always kick a ball around. Amenities older but very clean and more than one hook in shower cubicles - hooray!! Crystal Brook now also has a dump point. Steve and Jenny ( temporary caretakers) were extremely helpful and friendly people. We did the historic walking tour of the town (pamphlet from office).

We had shopped in Crystal Brook on our way to Streaky Bay and had a tantilising view of the caravan park as we left, promising to return on our way back home. Soooo glad we did ... what a serene place to stay. Beautiful trees, a little creek, a welcoming manager, old but scrupulously clean amenities block (with piped radio) and lovely hot water. We will definitely stay again, in fact we plan on staying before and after our next trip to The Flinders Ranges, as it is such a perfect, out of the way spot, but so close to the major roads. The township offers everything we will need, so we will do our food stockup there too!! Have I raved enough? Probably not .... oh, don't miss the Peppercorn and Gum cuddling each other in front of the amenities block !!
