This park is a gem. 5mins to Harndorf and so many other Adelaide hills attractions. Clean park and amenities with great caretakers Wayne and Kylie who are extremely helpful. Will be back.

Stayed over Christmas/ New years at a powered site. Can't say enough about how enjoyable our stay has been at this clean well maintained QUIET park. Nothing is too much trouble for the friendly Park Managers, Kym and Linda. They organised both a Christmas get together and to top it off they catered for a New Years Eve bbq, including salads and dessert, everyone enjoyed an amazing evening. The local shopping of Mount Barker,is a convenient picturesque, short stroll along a walking/bike track, abundant with birdlife. Directly opposite the caravan park is the community swimming pool. Adelaide is only an easy 30km drive, we would highly recommend this caravan park to anyone wishing to stay in Adelaide.

Just stayed here for 4 nights, over the new year period. A nice and very cleanly presented park. Position in excellent you can walk to the shops and it's a good starting point for everything the area has to offer. The down side was when one of the cabins was rented out to about ten or so youths who decided to party until 6 am new years day. The staff at the park decided to deal with the problem the next morning after every one else on the site had lost a nights sleep. It's quite apt that one of the site photos is of the big blue fence, because this is where all the noise of trucks and cars will come from at night, usually from about midnight onwards. It's a great park if your not into sleep and relaxation.Sorry I won't be back!

In response to Warren's comments, I wish to advise that had management or staff been made aware there was a problem at the time it was occurring, then it could have been dealt with immediately. To complain on a forum such as this is not the way to have these issues dealt with. I am quite happy for Warren to contact me at the Park to discuss this further.

We stayed here 2nd September 2013 for one night. We found our cabin substandard for the price. The floor was dirty; the shower curtain was covered in thick black mould; the mattress cover was dirty & had very obvious evidence of previous occupants sleeping directly on the cover & not using sheets that were available for hire. In a word YUK !
Response from Mount Barker Caravan & Tourist Park
As new park managers of Mt Barker Caravan Park, my husband & I had only been in the job for 2 days when we spoke to Mrs Kemp about her concerns on day of departure. I would like to assure Mrs Kemp that her concerns have been addressed since her stay. We appreciate any feedback, and strive to maintain a clean and friendly tourist park. The Park has just had its STAR rating assessment and I am happy to report that we have maintained our 3 1/2 star rating.

Stayed at Mt Barker Caravan Park for a few days last month and was very impressed with the tidiness of the park and cleanliness of amenities. Staff were very welcoming. Great location for visiting surrounding areas. Will return.
