This park would be the best if the water drained out of the showers and not all over the floor outside the showers. The men's toilets smelt to high heavens every time you walk pass. only one tap worked on power and water poles. I think with a bit more maintenance around this would be a great place.
This is a real find everything about the park is such a surprise just on our door step, The new management Allan and Desley make this a real delight and we will keep returning for our short breaks to this little piece of paradise. 10 out of 10
What a gem. Desley and Allan have improved the park no end. Shop full of goodies, papers available everyday. Mail three days a week, what more could you ask for. Lovely sites, pensioner discount, Amenities have been repainted. Fish being caught off the beach. Fantastic weather. I will be back.
EASTER 2015-The newish managers Desley and Allan are country people. Nothing was too much trouble as we needed something that we couldn't buy in Cowley Beach and Allan got it for us in Innisfail (which is just up the road). The amenities were immaculate, the grounds and surrounds well maintained and the beach is so quiet (it was Easter and the park almost to its capacity). Dogs allowed on leash all times (we got a dog) :-) . We intended to stay one night on our way home to Townsville however after Desley told us about the local community club having fish n chips on Saturday night we decided to stay the extra night and so glad we did....lovely short walk to club and for $6.50 orsum fish n chips with yumo salads, few drinks and evening stroll home to bus to watch the moon turn red (which it didn't lol) We definitely recommend a few nights (or a week or 2!!!) in this gorgeous park if its peace and quiet you are looking for.
