Standown Caravan Park is about 24km from Gympie on the road to Tin Can Bay. Standown has a unique bush camping experience with modern facilities. Campers, motor homers and caravanners are welcome to pull up a stump and meet old friends or make new ones. Standown Park has a reputation of being a ‘home away from home’ with many campers returning time and time again. It is a place where people come for a day and stay a week or more, and where they can relax and unwind or explore the many attractions in the area. The emphasis at Standown is on friendliness and relaxation where we hope you will feel a part of the place. Situated on 18 lush green acres surrounded by the pine forest on two sides and pasture paddocks on the others, the park site has an abundance of trees attracting many species of birdlife and a family of kangaroos. Standown also has a memorial to veterans where a waterfall and monument have been erected and is a show piece of great interest with over 315 names of Veterans and friends displayed in bricks along the dam wall. We are just off the Tin Can BayHighway so the Park is secure and with the picturesque mountains in the near distance, it is the ideal place for you to park your rig and rest while exploring the many attractions of the area.
