Kilcowera Station is a large organically run cattle Station, 1,200 kms west of Brisbane on the Dowling Track. Private and remote, it is a great destination for a week away or as a stopover on a journey through Outback Queensland.
There is a large, landscaped, grass camping area around the Shearer’s Quarters for caravanners and campers. Amenities include power, showers, toilets, laundry, picnic tables, fireplaces, bbq's, wood is supplied along with a basic camp kitchen and an information desk.
Just a short distance from the quarters, visitors can bush camp at secluded, shadey campsites along side Cardenyabba Lagoon. Ammenities here include: one long drop toilet, a fireplace at each campsite with wood supplied, direct water frontage and a million star sky. Conventional vehicles are able to access this site.
Accommodation at Kilcowera is provided in modern and comfortable Shearers Quarters. Guests staying in the Quarters have access to the fully equipped kitchen in the Quarters with microwaves, fridges, gas stove and all the pots, plates, cups etc that the discerning traveller could want.

Easter in the Outback is a special time to visit with the weather cooling down it is one of the best times of the year to visit Kilcowera. In 2016 Greg and Toni, owners of Kilcowera will be offering guests a free tagalong tour with them on Easter Saturday for those wishing to learn a little more about Station life and work.
Kilcowera is an owner operated working cattle station , self drive tours of the property or guided tours are available. Visitors have exclusive access to the western side of Lake Wyara, part of Currawinya NP. Kilcowera is also idealy situated for day trips to nearby Currawinya NP and the towns of Eulo, Thargomindah and Hungerford.
