Fronting the calm waters of Moreton Bay, this large flat campground is family friendly, and offers spectacular sunsets over the bay islands. Local dolphins visit each day, and pelicans and koalas are seen in and around the campground. The area is ideal for fishing & boating, and is a short drive to the island's surf beaches.

Sites are located in sunny open areas, and shady glades under native cotton trees. There are 11 self contained cabins, and 2 unique 'glamping' EcoShacks.

The spacious campground is ideal for school groups, corporate groups and social clubs with plenty of room to set up marquees or communal cooking or gathering areas. Two modern undercover camp kitchens offer electric BBQ's, power outlets, sinks, and picnic tables. Bus parking is available.

Amity Point Campground has a family friendly interpretive walk, with signposted points of interest providing information on the area’s rich Aboriginal history, as well as featuring ancient Aboriginal stories. The interpretive walk lets guests immerse themselves in the living cultural landscape of Minjerribah, and learn about the Quandamooka people’s connection to the land - dating back tens of thousands of years.

Dolphins come in around the little jetty in front of the campground each day at dawn and dusk, and pelicans spend time on the bollards around the swimming enclosure. The calm waters are perfect for kayaking.

The Amity Point township has a small general store, petrol pumps, a cafe/restaurant just up the road called Sea Shells, and the Sports Club next door offers a family atmosphere with wholesome well priced food.

Stradbroke Island, you can't go wrong, sensational location, lovely locals who enjoy having you there and you don't need to extend the mortgage to visit. Enjoy camping on the beach or in a camp ground with shops, coffee shops and restaurants 5 minutes away. What more could you want? Straddie's got it all
