We have stayed here a few times and the service and facilities make this the BEST park we have seen. Lots to do for the kids - pool, slide, zoo, BMX track, bike hire, tennis and movie nights. Staff are friendly and were happy to help us with reversing onto our site. Highly recommend for families.

Let's just say it's the 4th time we stayed here and the first time in a tent on the lower camping ground (Riverwalk) Sunday 11-01-2015. We did notice where we were put there was a section cordoned off by flags as it was obviously wet there from previous rainfall (I just noticed a previous review from a camper 3 weeks ago on Tripadvisor complaining of being 2ft under water). We didn't pay much attention to the area they put us as it had rained most of the way up to Queensland as it does most times that we visit. It showered on and off from Wednesday to Sunday but on Sunday evening the rain would not stop and I sat there watching the water rise slowly towards our tent. I decided to get my car out with my 2 boys in it and took them to the camp kitchen. I left them there so the wife and I could put anything that was on the floor onto the tables thinking the water shouldn't come up that far. Not long after the water was licking at our tent door so we carried some stuff up to the car. By this time everyone down there realised that they were in trouble and got their cars out and left most things behind. Feeling helpless at the camp kitchen I decided to go back and salvage what I could. I waded through the muddy water which was now waist deep to find my fridge floating in the tent with everything else so I put what I could onto the blow up mattresses and floated them back to the camp kitchen which was overflowing with people that had lost a lot of their things. A couple of staff did come down earlier in the night to the camp kitchen and offer some towels and blankets but it was the other campers who were helping each other through the night to save what they could, not any of the staff. We didn't see any ground staff till the next morning after we had been awake all night saving ourselves. People were offered a room for the night at a 25% discount but some still had to fork out $200 for a room so I left the kids in the car asleep as the wife and I were up all night cleaning out the mud and throwing out any electrical goods including her phone that got destroyed. There were a few people worse off then us and we were due to leave in a couple of days anyway but we could not of stayed as the tent and most other things were covered in mud. I went to the office and decided not to make a fuss as they are not in control of the weather plus other campers were not having much success. I asked for the previous nights and the 2 following days refunded and they did. After hearing stories from other campers experiences on the night within the park we was one of the luckier ones. I would like to thank the campers around us (men & women) who were helping us and others throughout the night to save our gear. Staff say that these things do not happen till around February so I googled floods in Helensvale and saw some pictures from recent years where the floods were just as bad. I rated my experience as bad because everything was fine until this happened and if it didn't happen it would have been another good review. I just wish I knew in advance that these things can happen as they have happened in the past then maybe I may have opted for another area if available or not at all. So all in all if you decide to stay on the lower camping grounds in this park do your research or you may end up like us. Will we stay not here again due to the misinformation and the condescending attitude from some staff. It's a shame because we did enjoy staying there at other times.

This is the best holiday park we have stayed at in qld. We have been here 4 times and we bring our dog every time and he loves it. The staff are very polite and helpful and the facilities are very clean. The job that you have done with the pool and bar looks amazing. The park is in walking distance to movie world and a short drive to the other two parks. I would definitely recommend this park to anyone travelling through the Gold Coast. It is a must stop and visit holiday park. You won't regret it :)

Stayed with my family for 15 nights over December/January. My whole family agreed this was the best caravan park we have ever stayed at. The facilities were outstanding, swimming pool was the best and my 3 kid's had so much fun there everyday, while us Adult's enjoyed the poolside bistro with cocktails. Our large rig caravan site was outstanding - great position, lot's of space & shade. The staff were extra friendly and helpful with any information we needed. Great location so close to all the theme parks which was ideal. We were sad to leave and are planning another holiday there asap even if it is a 4000km round trip to get there!! Outstanding.
