About Us
We are 40km from Gloucester, right next door to Barrington Tops National Park. The Park is along 1km of the pristine Gloucester River - if the bush and rivers are your thing we are it. Wildlife run free in the park and trout swim in the river. Bush-walking, mountain-bike riding, bird- and wildlife-watching and 4wdriving are just some of the fun we offer. The forest is waiting for you!

Our park facilities

We have flushing loos, hot showers and a laundry. Our kiosk sells most camping needs. We are open 7 days a week - 7am to 7pm. There are camp sites, power sites and cabins and, yes, we allow campfires! Sorry no dogs, the wallabies and birds have the run of the park and we need to protect them.

park is situated on 25 acres, and the whole park is on the Gloucester river

This park is out of town and on a dirt road but great if you wish to explore Gloucester Tops National park because it on the way there. Road suitable for on road cars and rigs. Many permanents. The sites are well grassed. River flowing next to the park. Kangaroos and wallabies wonder around the park. Great place to get back to nature

Since retiring, our lives are busier than when we went to work so for a holiday break we love to 'go bush'. This year, with our Jayco Penguin caravan camper, we travelled to Gloucester Tops Riverside Caravan Park and found this to be the ideal place to veg out and enjoy nature at its best. With the warmest of welcomes by the owners, we set up camp surrounded by wallabies, the resident duck, type unknown to us but very beautiful and friendly, a brush turkey, a family of wood ducks, curious parrots and best of all, fairy wrens who thought twittering around our feet while we sat outside was quite the norm. The sound of the Gloucester River just below our site was soothing and the bird life in the surrounding trees was beautiful. We can't wait to return and enjoy some walks as this stay was impeded slightly by rain. For bush lovers, we highly recommend this beautiful park. As the owners say, the area is the best part of the Barrington Ranges. The park is 38 ks south of Gloucester. From the Buckett's Way turn the road is mostly unsealed and one crosses the river safely five times over concrete fords. These crossings are a photo must! If you love the bush you will love Gloucester Tops Riverside Caravan Park.

Hidden Gem! Discovered this park through word of mouth. Unfortunately I have only had the pleasure of two visits so far, but am planning the next one! Let me give you all the run down. Park is located only 2.5 hours from sydney, 1.5 hours from newcastle. Its hard to believe something so beautiful and amazing is right on our doorstep. Dont be discouraged by a drive into the country, the scenery is to die for. The road will wind you in, around and over mountains. Then you will dive between the trees and in through the creeks over solid concrete bridges. You dont need a 4wd to access the park either, my little Kia made it just fine and breezed through the creekbeds. So what can you expect on arrival? Prepare to be met by a bright face with a big smile! The owners of the park love what they do and want you to love every part of it as much as them. They are most welcoming and very knowledgable. Whether you are a first time camper, new to the area or returning camper, the owners will be sure to provide you with all the information about the park and surrounds to ensure you enjoy your stay. There is soo much to see, do and experience in the park and surrounds. You can spend your day bush walking the numerous tracks. The park owners will guide you as to which ones to take depending on the season. They are in tune with what the river are doing, what tracks are clear, and which way is the best to go for your personal needs. You can go bike riding or explore the many waterways, creeks and ponds. If 4wdriving is your thing, ask the owners and they will unlock the gates to some really amazing hidden tracks! Remember if relaxing is your thing, this is also your one stop shop! No lights, no noise, no sirens, no loud music, just serenity. The park has many campsites and powered sites to suit all campers. You can choose a set up on the hill and stare off into the distance, or camp down under the canopy of tall trees and watch the sky fade between the leaves. You can also camp right on the riverbank and fall asleep to the sound of crystal water trickling over the rocks. The park has all the modern facilities for those 'glampers' amoung us. Numerous camping tables for you to take advantage of, full functioning laundry, camp kitchen and toilets. Everything is kept sparkling clean by the dedicated park owners and its all done with a gleeming smile! If your worried about hot showers.... DONT BE! The hottest showers I have ever experienced, even in 5 star luxury resorts. This a nice added bonus to scrub off the days' adventures. The park offers a small kiosk at the entry to stock you up with all the things you forgot to bring or have run out of. They also stock all the modern treats like icecreams, chips and softdrinks. Next the wildlife, If you want to experience nature outside a zoo or enclosure, this is the place to be. At any given moment there will be some sort of animal, bird, fish, insect in sight. We swam with the fishes, roasted marshmellows with a family of possums, woke up with kookaburras and walked with kangaroos. The wildlife is in abundance and you cant escape it! So in conclusion: If your looking for to get back to get away to experience nature, relax, or explore, dont go past The Gloucester Tops Riverside Park. It will become your favourite secret getaway!

Found this park by mistake, sooo happy we did,it was 42deg and the river that surrounds the park is crystal clear and cool as a mountain river can be,we loved it,the loos and showers are very clean but aging ,the kiosk sells a fair bit of stuff and the owners are very up to date with all the barrington tops have to offer, they sent us to the TOPS ,waterfalls beautiful, they also have a 4wd park at the back of the caravan park we did not do it but saw a group go over.all in all it's nature at it's best and we will go back when next in the area. ...Sam

Great spot for camping and to use as a base. The map location is wrong, it's another 30km from the map spot. You have to follow all signs to Gloucester tops. We are definitely going there again.
