It is only 10 mins drive back into Crescent Head where there is a Pub, Club, Supermarket, Butchers, Bakery, Bottle Shops and few other shops. You will find pretty much everything you need there. There is only 4kms of unsealed road to Delicate Nobby and at the moment the road is in decent condition. This is the first time I have camped with power, and love it. Delicate Nobby is protected from the strong winds you will get at most coastal campgrounds. I would like to clear up the confusion about the two camping spots at Delicate. There is Goolawah Reserve (Delicate Campground) on the left side of the road and Delicate Nobby Camping Ground on the right hand side of the road. The first is run by National Parks, it has cold showers, no electricity and you can not book in. It is first in best dressed, and there is no caretaker on site. The second is privately owned, has hot running water, they have powered and unpowered sites, you can ring and book in advance, there is a free laundry, they sell bags of fire wood, ice and soft drink cans all year round, in peak times they sell ice-creams and a few other bits and pieces. There is a bunkhouse, a dump station, BBQ area and an Outdoor Kitchen. There are even 2 giant outdoor chess sets, and a beach access opposite the driveway, which is just a short stroll away from one of NSW best beaches. It is a great spot for families, fisherman, and surfers. There are large areas that can hold big groups and small secluded sites where you will not have people camping on top of you. Delicate Nobby is a spot that has the lot, something for everyone.

I have been going here each summer since I was very young and have always loved the proximity to the beach river and ammenities of the Crescent Head village.

This is a pretty little seaside spot with lots of walks and beach to explore. Access is by a bumpy dirt road which reduces overcrowding during peak times. The grounds are generally well kept with only very basic amenities and no power. As this is National Parks territory the fees are quite low The are gets its name from the rock "nobby" protruding out from the beach. All in all a nice place to get back to nature.

The park is in a beautiful position however perhaps needs a little updating as far as utilities go. It does not need any " special " items re pool etc because of the location & reasonable remoteness. You do not want to change that " feeling " of being away from it all.
