This place was perfect for the night I stayed as we only booked two days before, in a popular destination for the time and they worked everything out with efficiency and were so lovely. Not only that, our car broke down, and they helped us fix it so we were able to drive to Maitland and back for GTM asap . They were all so kind and the room was perfect for what we needed!
Stayed in a one bedroom fully self-contained studio style cabin number thirty-something can't quite remember the number but work had booked the place for me. Was $80 a night. What I was most happy about: A double bed nicely made up. A nice big screen tv. The room and bathroom was clean. We asked for extra milk since we were there for two days and were given more. When we asked for more milk they offered us more bedding free of charge because it was cold just in case we needed it (even though there was sufficient heating in the room). The road was a little noisy at times on the first night but not on the second night - so it wasn't too bad. Would stay here again.
Paid $35 for a powered caravan site. The unisex facilities closest to the site was very old, dirty and smelly. The toilet floor was soiled and wet, the toilet roll holder was broken. The shower cubicle had a large window open to the elements with a fly screen. No glass. All of the en suited powered sites were occupied by permanent residences and not available to the daily traveler. Would not recommend this caravan park and would diffintely not stay there again.
I was overcharged. I paid $80 dollars for one nights single accomodation. The condition of the self contained box was worn dirty & noisy. Position was right next to the New England Hyway set of lights. The traffic was constant untill 12am & resumed at 4am. Another box was being built next door to mine. Power tools were in use at 6.55am. There was no security on the screen door & all window screens (one missing completely) were torn. No fresh air was admitable. No milk was provided & the coffee was half a stained jar of Nescafe which was stale. The furniture & curtains were old mismatched & dirty. Spider webs & a missing light globe. The smoke detector fell down & the battery was flat. No fire extinguisher. The bathroom floor drain hole was raised & a trip hazard. The toilet leaked & pooled in the corner. The bathroom sink was painted plastic that was peeling, all taps were miss matched, the soap was not a fresh bar & the toilet paper was some sort of industrial paper on a huge spool. The shower water could not be regulated, to stay hot. I wish I could post all the photos I took to prove this review is the truth. The terribly low standard & managers greed is what causes this negative review. As I had expressed I was looking for something cheap such as a hotel room. If I had been charged only $40. I am sure I would not have been so concerned with sharing my bad experience. The manager had a choice to charge me less & he didnt. So I feel it is the right thing to do to warn people.
